Our Women are back at home this weekend looking to achieve their first win against a side who are still undefeated having drawn four of their five games. Meanwhile, our young Jets Men are on the road again and looking to continue their undefeated streak.
Manly United currently sit in fifth on the NPL NSW Women’s ladder and will pose a tough challenge for our young Jets who are eager to move on from the bottom.
The Men’s League Three side are currently in third with games in hand on the teams above, and are the only unbeaten team – a stat they want to keep against Prospect United this weekend.

Newcastle Jets v Manly United – Sunday 3:25pm, Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility
Manly United travel north (something they rarely do) to take on the Emerging Jets at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility.
The Jets gave a better account of themselves despite the result last weekend. Their structure looked better defensively and for the majority of the match defended well.
Keeping possession will be key for them, something they need to desperately improve on if they are to register their first points of the season soon.
Manly would be very disappointed following last week’s result against Spirit FC. In control, with a two-goal advantage, United let it slip and had to settle for a draw.
Kahli Johnson may be missing for Manly, travelling to a Young Matildas camp. Her importance to the team has been immense and the likes Yuka Honda will need to step it up.
Prospect United vs Newcastle Jets – Sunday 7pm, William Lawson Reserve
To conclude the weekend of League Three Men’s action, Prospect United will host Newcastle Jets at William Lawson Reserve.
Prospect United currently sit sixth on the table, but are two games behind some teams in front of them, and single matches behind others.
They most recently drew 2-2 against UNSW FC, after going 2-0 up with a brace to Cristian Martinez.
Prior to that fixture, they beat Fraser Park away from home, and will be looking for a statement win at William Lawson Reserve in a tricky match against Newcastle Jets.
If the Jets are to win their games in hand, they will sail to the summit of the League Three Men’s table, as they currently sit two points behind Hurstville FC and Hawkesbury City, while being two and one matches behind on the top two respectively.
Newcastle are the only side yet to be defeated still over the course of the season, and will face a Prospect United side looking to change that and return to winning ways.
