Youth/Academy wrap

There were mixed results over the weekend for the Newcastle Jets Academy and Youth Teams.

Damian Zane’s Youth team recorded another win as they defeated Gladesville Ryde Magic 3-0 in FNSW League Two Men’s First Grade.

Ezra Palombini and Lachlan West found the back of the net in the match with Gladesville scoring an own goal to round out the 3-0 win.

The Youth team currently sit in third place on the ladder as they chase promotion to Football NSW League One.

In the U20s, the Jets recorded a 6-2 win against Gladesville Ryde Magic. Kruze Davidson, Max Bailey (two), James Khoury, Joseph Smith and Cooper Vimpani all found the back of the net for the Jets.

The Jets U20s sit on top of the ladder with six wins from six matches.

In the Jets Academy grades, there were mixed results against Sydney FC.

The U18s narrowly lost 4-3 while the U16s recorded a big 4-1 win. The U15s lost 2-0 while the U14s lost 7-0. The U13s endured a 5-1 loss.

The Emerging Jets Women’s First Grade Team started their season with a 3-2 defeat at the hands of the Bulls Academy. It was a fantastic effort by the Youth team with the oldest player in the squad at 17 years old. Josie Allan found the back of the net twice for the Jets.

A very young U20s Jets outfit suffered a 4-0 loss to the Bulls as they started their season.

The U18s narrowly lost 2-1 to the Bulls Academy while the U16s lost 8-3.

The U15s were unlucky as they lost 1-0 while the U14s recorded a 1-0 win to kick start their season.
