Although are finals hopes have been dashed, the Jets put in a wonderful performance in Campbelltown to down Macarthur three goals to none.
The game started all our way with Savvas Siatravanis scoring in the opening minutes following a Sam Silvera free-kick, delivered beautifully into the danger area. While we only scored the one in the first half, our defence shone throughout including some big saves by goalkeeper Michael Weier.
That defensive resolve continued in the second half with some brilliant scrambling efforts to deny Macarthur, before our attack then come through with more goods. Valentino Yuel found the back of the net first after being thread into the box by a nice Jason Hoffman pass, before Beka Mikeltadze jumped on the end of a Dane Ingham cross, scoring his thirteenth goal for the season.
The win marks our first-ever victory over Macarthur and sees our team move onto 28 points – just three behind Sydney as we now focus on attaining at least eighth spot on the table to avoid the Australia Cup Play-offs.

63′ GOAL DISALLOWED! Elsey puts a header into the back of the net, however an offside earlier in the play rules the goal out.
62′ CHANCE! Silvera takes a whipping shot on goal after being feed a brilliant pass from Grozos, but Kurto pulls off a big fingertip save.
60′ Another chance for Macarthur but it’s saved and held onto by Weier.
56′ Couple of back-to-back chances for Macarthur but their shots smash into the side netting.
54′ SAVE! Noone tries to chip Weier but our keeper isn’t fazed and easily holds onto it.
50′ CHANCE! Kurto pulls off a great save to deny us. It followed a wonderful chipped pass from Arques almost falling perfectly both either Thurgate or Elsey, but not to be as the keeper jumps on top.
48′ Mikeltadze has a shout for a penalty as Kurto comes rushing out inside the box, but the referee rules that the keeper got a touch to it first.
48′ Yuel does well down the left hand side, successfully taking on multiple defenders and wins a corner.
46′ Second half begins with Arques replacing O’Doherty
40′ Silvera slices through the defence with some terrific dribbling and wins a free-kick. He takes the kick and knocks it into the box, finding Jurman, but his header is high.
34′ Thurgate receives a yellow card.
29′ Bulls have a penalty shout from Mariappa but it’s waved away from the ref.
22′ SUB! Siatravanis is off, and Yuel is on.
22′ Grozos finds his way behind the Macarthur defence, but has his one-on-one shot saved. Turns out he was offside anyway though.
17′ SAVE! Again Weier comes up with a big save, this time to deny Giannou from scoring a one-on-one chance.
15′ DOUBLE SAVE! A huge effort from Weier in goal as he pulls off a double save from a corner to deny Macarthur. Ended up being offside, but still a great effort nonetheless.
14′ Macarthur have a chance to score following a scramble in the six-yard box. The cross came in and wasn’t dealt with initially, but Ingham managed to clear it in the end.
10′ Grozos has a chance to score from a corner with an unmarked shot at the near post. However his header goes over the crossbar.
7′ We attack the Macarthur goal again and look to have the numbers advantage on the break, but unfortunately the final pass is just too far behind Mikeltadze in the box.
4′ GOAAAAAAL! MAC 0-1 NEW Siatravanis finds the back of the net after knocking home a scrambling effort from a free-kick!
