ALM Match Preview: Newcastle Jets v WSW

The Jets return home this Sunday to face off against the Western Sydney Wanderers at McDonald Jones Stadium, with kick-off at 3pm.

Newcastle will be looking to continue their momentum from last week’s 1-1 draw against Western United in Ballarat, which saw Daniel Stynes get his first goal for the Jets with a screamer that curled into the top right corner after cutting inside from the left wing.

The Wanderers are also coming off the back of a draw with ladder leader Melbourne City in last week’s match, which sees them sit third place on the ladder on 19 points.

The Jets are currently sitting on 10th place on the ladder with 13 points and are just one win away from jumping up to sixth place.

The last time these two sides met was earlier in the season in round two, where the Wanderers took the lead with a 2-0 win over the Jets, from goals by Brandon Borrello and Romain Amalfitano.
