2022/23 A-League Men’s Season Fixtures Announced

The Newcastle Jets A-League Men’s fixtures have been released for the 2022/23 season with the draw highlighted by plenty of family friendly time slots.

In 2022/23, Kids Under 12 will go free to Newcastle Jets home games with all matches locked in for the new season.

Nine of the Jet’s 13 matches at McDonald Jones Stadium have been scheduled in afternoon timeslots making it perfect for families to attend.

The Jets kick-off their new season with a trip down the highway to face the Central Coast Mariners at Central Coast Stadium in the F3 Derby on Saturday the 8th of October at 5pm.

The first home game of the season will see the Jets face Perth Glory at McDonald Jones Stadium on Saturday the 15th of October at 5pm.

Newcastle Jets Executive Chairman Shane Mattiske is delighted with the draw and believes the 2022/23 season will be great for families in the Hunter and North Coast region.

“Our strategy as a club is to be family-friendly and we have been pushing for a draw that delivered our fans games on Saturday or Sunday afternoon timeslots.  We’re happy to be able to present a draw that has nine afternoon matches of the 13 home games at McDonald Jones Stadium.

This aligns with our ongoing focus on making the Jets a fun, safe and affordable option for families, with our ‘kids go free’ offer continuing across all games this season.

Most importantly, we’re looking forward to having a draw that is locked in and will provide our members and fans with certainty as they plan their weeks in advance.

In the off-season, we’ve been working hard to build a very competitive side. We’re looking forward to seeing the team come together for their first competitive match this Saturday at McDonald Jones Stadium against Adelaide United in the Australia Cup Round of 32 clash and we are confident that we will really shake up the A-League competition.

We’re also looking forward to seeing the A-League Women’s draw settled and being able to announce the finalisation of our Women’s squad.

We hope to see our fans come out to support the team this Saturday and are pleased that fans can now lock away some great dates in the diary for the coming season.”
